2nd post for the day: New mailbox & dogsitter.....

Dana, our new dog sitter stopped by for a training course in walking the mutts. She seems like she will be really great! She is the sister of one of Harlan's co-workers. They grew up in Wisconsin....so you KNOW that they're great!!!
(of course, this is no disrespect to Tami, who we had in SF)
Last week, just after it stopped raining, H trimmed the holly bushes by the front door. They are still overbearing but at least you can get in easier. We hope at some point to replace them but must live with them for now......unless a slow and painful death becomes them.....
(you know, by trimming them too close....)

Our mailbox was on its last legs so we contacted our Homeowners Assoc to see what they recommended and this was the mailbox of choice. We were happy because there are a few in the neighborhood and we liked them. If you notice, across the street are these brick behemoths that, in our estimation, are quite ugly. We were SO relieved that we weren't encouraged to put one of THOSE up!
We contacted the suggested company and they were scheduled to come tomorrow am to put it in. Early this afternoon, the dogs start barking and a guy comes to the front door and he is putting in our box! Talk about service! On a Sunday and we didn't even have to pay extra! I hope that our mailman loves us now!!!
