Yesterday....and before...

Yesterday saw some big progress on the patio roof!   The skylights are in....see 3 of them?  We had been concerned that we would really be darkening the kitchen by putting the roof on.  We got a great deal on the skylights so we added them as an extra measure.  We probably won't have that much problem with light tho.  We both had it in our minds that the roof would be lower than it is.  That's ok, cuz light is good!

We went up to H's office to look out.  I held Cozmo while we watched Geoff work on sealing up the skylight.  After a few minutes, we were spotted and Geoff came and made a funny face at Cozmo.  Cozmo was unfazed.
Cozmo likes Geoff, but I think he is realizing that he's the guy who makes all the noises that he is afraid of.
Other than shingles, the roof is waterproof.  Which is good cuz we are misty this morning and are supposed to have quite the storm later tonight.  Geoff will be here sometime later this am to get the shingles all on.
I forgot to show photos of the windows being delivered.  This was 2 Sundays ago...whatever date that was.  I think we were the first drop off as they came fairly early.
 A double and a triple!
Haven't heard yet about when the cabinets will be delivered. All in good time, tho.  We still need to have the plumber and HVAC guys come in to rearrange the pantry runs and the gas lines and the new sink...Geoff and, if H is around, will do the electrical.
It seems like a lot, but in reality, it shouldn't take too long.   Windows are next after the shingles.  Then the wall will be ready to open up for the gas and venting and plumbing.  Having extra guys in here will really speed things along.  Geoff even mentioned that if he gets ahead of the cabinets, he will start siding the back of the house when the weather is nice.
Whew!  Lots to do!
