better than planned....

What an awesome day! Deb & Joe got here about 1030 & we made oatmeal for breaky. Then we took the boys for a walk in the park....you know...it always helps to burn off a bit of energy! note the word..."bit".

Then we got into it. I cleaned the roasted chicken while D drained & rinsed the beans & got the rest of the white chili put together. Then we started on the lazagnas.....14 little ones & 2 mid sized....
then we got onto the doggie cookies.... wow, are those just what a pup ordered! One batch has fresh ground peanut butter from the health food store along with some mashed mixed veggies & homemade chicken broth & parmesian cheese. The 2nd batch had beef broth with peanut butter & honey & parsley & parmesian cheese. The 3rd batch was the same as the 2nd minus the parsley.

We stopped for lunch about 2 & made baked mushrooms with balsamic vinegrette with sun dried tomatoes & parmesian cheese. And we had fresh tomatoes (from the grocery) with fresh mazzarella cheese. And for dinner, we had a bowl of the white chili....I had never had it before...YUM!! I think we got about 10 containers of that put away as well!
We didn't get to make the pasta noodles as planned but that was just an exra. We will probably do that at another time. I did get 2 loads of laundry done....I didn't take any breaks to run down & swap things out. Oh well, it will still wait for me....
Deb & I worked very well together....Better than I could have hoped for! I tend to be a bull in the china shop & she is so calm & quiet. But it was great fun. The dogs did very well. They had their frap-out moments & then they would calm right down at our feet. Then they'd frap-out again! It was so awesome! Khaki is about 2 yrs younger than Joe, so he was a bit of the instigator & problem child. Luckily, Deb understands & loves us all anyways! As you can tell, the ole' Khakster is a bit tired tonight....... I kinda of am as well...and I see that it is only 720pm.....
