Yesterday was kind of productive. We took the big mutt for a walk, stopped by Mike & Karen's to check on Karen's mom. She is doing better than anyone expected at this point. 40% of her heart is working and it won't ever get any better. She is in the Good Sam nursing home for 20 days, can get it extended for 100 days and then they'll evaluate where she needs to be.
We found out that the farmer's market is UP AND RUNNING for the year! YEAH!!!! we got some local honey & ordered up some oxtail for some beef soup & some leg shanks for a spoiled pup-dog. Those will come in a few weeks. Then we headed to the Co-Op health food store. We found some chips and almonds and some sprout seeds....oh, and they have the local farmer's milk in glass jars....yum! Sunshine Grocery has them, but they aren't very convenient so this will work out wonderfully because they are in returnable bottles...YEAH!!!
in the evening, Deb & Walker came over for Pit & Mille Bourne night! Harlan was "Champine of the World" Seemed like he won all of the games! it was great fun!
Today, after our walk to the park, I got busy rearranging the closet & bedroom areas that were collecting "stuff". Harlan got busy in the back yard....stringing new lights in the fence & getting the water lines hooked back up, etc. It was such a gorgeous day that I had to leave the bedroom for the chance to finally clean out my VIBE! wiped down, vacuumed...should be fairly spiffy for awhile! then it was on to dinner on the deck....salad with steamed ocean perch on top! Bottle of Pinot Noir....fire in the fire pit....roasted marshmallows..... a pup dog that wanted to play fetch and gnaw on bones.... a great day was had by all!!!!
