Now we're talking progress!

Oh, by the way, just so you know, drilling through 6" of LVL header is an easy way to burn out a drill.
Yeah, Bernie, our HVAC guy did just that!  And as far as I know....he's the boss!
He's putting in the vent for the range hood.
Then Bernie comes over to work on dropping the heat vent to the floor in the living room.
He has the NICEST employees!!   They suffered me and my camera well.  They had problems putting the vents together until the snippers came out and then they went together like butter to bread.   Of course, they measured the top of the run and the bottom of the run and it was 14" wide.  So they brought that size vent.  After the drywall was all off and they tried to install it, they found that the 2x4's were bowed in the middle and they had to finagle it in!
Ah, the joys of remodeling!
The gas line will come outside, go across the interior of the porch roof, all the way to the gas grill.  To run that so it is hidden, we are going to put it behind the new siding.  So we took off a bit to have a look to see what would work best.

This morning, while the HVAC guys were here again to finish up, Geoff and Chris worked on getting the kitchen ready for the plumber, who comes on Thursday. At this point, I had to go to the Melanders.  First, to get rid of the mutts and second, to play crafts with Dakneese and Grandma June.  So Chris and H took these photos for me.
First to go: the sink!
 Then the countertop!
 Then the dishwasher and cabinet!
My buddy is putting in the gas line.  You can see the vent for the range hood looks like it is in.
The peninsula wall is gone now!
Oops....not quite on the venting.  You can see the circle that they have drawn on the ceiling to know where to drill.  Also, not sure if I mentioned it, but we are putting in a flat ceiling.  It hides the piping, we don't have to paint it, etc...it just makes life easier.
And, get this....
we're going to use galvanized steel...you know...the wavy kind???
YEP!!!
I LOVE THAT STUFF!!!
Our 3rd remodel and I finally found a spot where I can use it!!
 No PENINSULA!  OR SINK!!
The sub-flooring has been installed so that we can run our flooring over top of the wood.
And Chris, our clean up guy!
I got home around 5pm and took the last 2 photos.  I was pretty stoked to see that H & Chris took some great shots for me!
H went to pick up a pizza.  It is ok...greasy, tho.  We could have hooked up the stove, but, without a sink, we figured that it was easier to let someone else do the cooking.  And, quite frankly, neither of us had any desire to go out.
And the mutts stayed at Dakneese's because siding will be going on tomorrow along with the plumbing getting done.  And neither H nor I will be here to keep the scaredy cat under control or the great helper at bay.
We also don't have any assistants trying to share our pizza.
