Yesterday, H had a slow morning in the office so he put up the low voltage track lighting in the dining area. I think we will like it. I couldn't make up my mind as to what swirls I wanted, so I just said to put it in a straight line. I think it works well.
The gutter guys came to take off the gutters.
The lights are WONDERFUL! and give up a lot of light. I think we can get by without adding any extra can lights in the ceiling.
The gutters coming down!
We decided that we can't replace all of the press board siding with hardiplank, so we are going to replace what we can and then paint the rest of it with a good satin paint. That should get us by until we need to paint again.
Outside of the upstairs bathroom needed some new siding. The water had swelled some of the siding, so it got replaced.
A step ladder on a sloped roof....I almost couldn't watch!
They took off one side while they worked on the other side. Looks strange, doesn't it? And you can see where the fascia needs replaced.
We will really miss Chris. He's the younger brother that takes all the shit and keeps coming back for more! He's a hard worker and loves the pupper dogs! And the pupper dogs love him too!
New siding
On the front side of the house from the upstairs bathroom window. I guess even more siding needed replaced there.
I should get a photo of the wall of rosemary that we have in bloom! Pretty delicate blue flowers!
Oh, then a storm blew in.....nice day to not have gutters.
Oh well, the patio roof never had gutters....yet...
H pan fried some lentil/rice mix from last night with a poached egg and coleslaw for dinner. It was quite tasty.
We moved the tall filler board to this side of the fridge. Just to give you an idea of how the fridge will look built in. Then we'll have wall cabinets that will tie the utility cabinet (on the right in the foto) to the end of the fridge. Then we will have a cabinet above the fridge that will lead into another cabinet on the far side that will angle in at a 45* to the wall.
Eventually!
Well, it is coming together nicely. Of course, it is pissing me off that the bookshelf is the hold up. Considering that we were told that we would have the bookshelf around LAST Friday.....ERRRRRG!
Geoff is ready to start packing up but can't quite yet....and while the dogs will miss them, they must be moving on.

that last shot was what i was looking for! Is the refridg backed up into the old pantry closet?? Seems to be sticking out more that it should if it is? Or did you take the closet all the way out and move the refridg down? Looks great! Cant wait to see it. Are the floors done throughout the downstairs?
Looking good!
Love
Christine
