We decided to go exploring the mountains with the Melanders! We figured that we would find a few of the GA wineries that are north of us, so we figured that we would start with a good breakfast!
H got his wish and MoE drove the convertible! It was fun. Windy, tho.
Dakneese and I got the back seat on the way up.
Like H said, he got to see a bit more of the scenery....I got to see more of him!
We stopped at 3 wineries...tasted at 2 of them.
I think that we all liked the most modest of them all the best.
There is something when the farmer/vintner and his wife are serving you and telling you about themselves...
Frogtown had the prettiest view, tho.
They had the nicest patio to sit on, so Dakneese made a new friend.
Comparing thoughts on the juices....
We then went driving around. Found a For Sale sign. We all take that as in invitation to be nosey. Of course, we ended up seeing the "incomparable mountain views", also interrupted the preliminaries of a wedding!!
Wolf Mountain was even more elegant than Frogtown! And they had a wedding going on as well! It was getting late, it was crowded and we had 3 dogs at home waiting for us, so we just looked and left.
H let me sit up front on the way home...I still got to watch him a bit!
We planned a salad with shrimp for dinner at the Melanders. The dogs were happy to have us home and, after being wind blown and sunned, we were very happy to be with them!
Today, we are getting a few of our chores done and smoking up a brisket. The Melanders and Coopers will be joining us for a wonderful afternoon meal.
