Most of the azaleas are done blooming, but not quite. This infiltrator into our yard is from the neighbor's. We look forward to it sneaking in every year!
The blackberries are starting to bloom....
And loose a few blooms!
And the blueberries have started to grow....aren't they so cute???
And a little white mutt watched H plant some new tomato plants in the bed near the garage. Of course, we had amended the soil as it was all clay. We're not sure if he likes the clay, the amendments or wants to play gardener....
Either way, he's SOOOOO lucky he's cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The lettuce is growing wild! We had salads all last week for dinner. We got tired of it! I took the shears to the right side of the bed and sent that along with Dakneese and MoE for them to enjoy for Easter...Still not a huge dent in the mass....
The onions, planted from seeds are slowly getting thinned out. I've transplanted some to the front yard and the rest get cleaned and added to salads or whatever we are making for dinner. I don't normally like raw onions, but they are just so mild and tender at this stage.
A close up of the cabbage. We want to try making our own sauerkraut.
Planted some Fennel. It keeps some bugs away and is great when cooked under a fillet of fish.
Our spinach has been keeping us going since about FEB!! It is slowly starting to bolt so we may not have much more for awhile.
Our sage is starting to bloom. I hate the smell of sage but it is really a pretty plant and has gone absolutely wild this last month! And the plant is 3 yrs old, go figure! You'd think that the pot would be so low in nutrients that it wouldn't be doing much of anything about now.
We watched Charlie this weekend. It was good. Gave Dakneese a break and the boys someone to play with. Of course, all 4 legged inhabitants of this house had to take turns being sentry this weekend.
At least he's personality plus...
Our garlic...
Our garlic patch....
Yes, Chuck came to stay with us. He was pretty well behaved.
Maybe a better photo of a gardening pup....
FRB!!!!!!!!!!!
Jim and Sen came over for Easter dinner. Sen loves all dogs and enjoyed petting all of the boys.
Cozmo wasn't getting any love from us, so he succumbed to Sen's invitation to come to her lap.
Isn't Chuck cute?
Khaki & Fred, just hanging out.
Play time last evening. Robo-squirrel still lives! Barely! No legs and really stinky!
And notice who is taking up the biggest bed on the floor....
Sorry the photos are all out of order...that is how they were downloaded and I knew you wouldn't get to see 1/2 of them if I had to be too organized.....
Hope you had a great week and this one is pretty good too!
