We have found that with the humidity and the warm temps, that there are mushrooms of every shape and size and color growing all over. We've had several different kinds in our yard and the neighbors have a few other kinds. We've seen quite a few at the park.
We met a man who was picking some @ the park and we asked him how he knew which ones to pick. He said that when he was about 5yrs old, growing up in Russia, he went with his father to pick the kind that he was picking in our park. He said that when he saw them, he figured that they were the same and picked one to have his father confirm it. So he was out harvesting them one evening.
H & I were quite jealous as we love mushrooms but are quite leery of picking the wrong ones.
I haven't really looked, but does anyone know how to learn which ones are edible?
