The afternoon after.....

Sen trying to teach Cozmo how to type!
We got up around normal time and got moving yesterday.  H got the turkey ready and then got it on the rotisserie.  That, of course, after it brined all night in a honey, salt and apple cider +herbs/spice bath.  Not sure if it added a lot of flavor but it was did turn out a wonderful platter of meat!
I got the potatoes ready to boil and got the bread dough rising.  Then I put together my apple tarts. I had some issues with my caramel sauce, so it ended up being a yummy VANILLA sauce.

Here are the links that we used this year, in case you're interested.  We were pretty pleased with them and will most likely rely on them again.

Sen, Jim & Fred (the blue/brown eyed dog) got here around 2.  We ate shortly after.  They brought a scrumptious broccoli casserole....I really think it was the best thing at the table, quite frankly.
We feasted and then relaxed a bit.  Then, they taught us 2 easy card games.  Maybe you've played them; 22 and the other is 99.   Both are more luck than strategy, but there is a little in it. We ended up playing til about 1130!  then we took three very good dogs (Khak, Coz, & Charlie) for a quick jaunt around the circle.  Then it was into bed for the crash!

We were awaken by Khaki starting to heave.  He has been doing that lately around 7am.  Not sure what that is about; they have a groomers appointment on Monday, so I will have the vet have a look at him.  Well, we lounged in bed and watched Good Morning America before getting a move on the day.  We both have managed to kill several hours on computers before getting the dogs walked.  Boy, aren't we slugs.  So much for doing something fun.  The rain kind of stopped us from going to a bigger park this morning and it is nice not to have to deal with all of the traffic today.  Guess we'll get something done eventually....  Hope your day is as lazy as ours is!
