No pictures to share yet. But we had a great time in STL! We started out exploring the city and then heading west to Defiance, MO to hang out on a pontoon @ Joe & Mary's. They were so gracious to allow 6 of us to crash at their house. Of course, Meghan, their 10 yr old, was sent to a sleep over at a friend's house...... they are such WISE parents.....
Headed into the city and had a brewery tour of a micro brewery & wandered and ate till we were rolling along. Went to the Twin's/Cardinal's game on Sat. It got to 99 degrees and we were in full sun. UGH. I think that I sweated almost all 3 of those big bottles of water that I drank! I did use the facilities a few times to I wasn't in any danger but I did feel woozy a few times. I think that we were all soaked from sweat and the ice cubes that we put in our shirts or hats...... Unknowingly, I put my visor on too tight so I was getting a really bad headache. I called it quits a bit early and when I got back to the room, it had left a crevice along my forehead! No matter what I took, I couldn't conquer it. So I called it an early evening while the rest went to a blues bar. H said that I wouldn't have enjoyed it with a headache as we had a table RIGHT in front of the 5' amp. A shower and a tuck into the covers felt really good.
We had nice weather on the way home; no delays. The flight itself was a little weird. The flight attendant was really a Saint. I truly believe that! When the f/a has to come on the pa and explain how to turn on the light in the lavatory and how to turn it off, you know that the rest of the flight is downhill from there.....
I'll try to share photos tomorrow.....
