woke up before 8 and went to get my hairs cut. i tried a new gal and i think that i may go back to her. we'll see. they always seem to put so much hairspray in that it just is a stiff ugh on your head! then i picked up my boys...yes, all of them, and we went to the farmers market. got out of there and headed to the dog park. we hadn't been there since march or so. khaki had fun and did very well. cozmo was more tentative as we were in the big dog side. but he'll get it
came home and i made some regular pesto, parsley pesto and...drum roll please.... rosemary pesto!!! talk about good!!!!! we're going to have it on some lamb chops tonight and I can't wait!!!! it is milder than you would expect! if i clear out our plant, i have about 12, maybe 16 more oz to go. i do want to make some rosemary salt. Gina had gotten us some a few years ago for Christmas and we really, really liked it so i want to try making some. I need to get some rock salt....oh salt monger.... so the rosemary has some new uses...yeah!!!
h defrosted the big freezer and has it repacked. we actually have room for the 1/4 of beef that we have coming...PLUS some more veggies that I want to put up!!! yeah!
tomorrow will be football, laundry and pepper day! our Anaheim's are looking fabulous. we have some seranos...they LOOK hot and a few ancho chili's to figure out what to do with. our tomatoes are ripening very slowly. i would love to make some salsa up, but that won't be happening this week. the disappointing part was that the farmer's mkt didn't have any cilantro...so we have to buy that...oh well.
well, i should go. h had thrown in some jeans into the washer and now they are dried. the shorts in the load really need ironing. i sure hope that we get to wear them again this year. Tuesday after Labor Day turned to the 60's/70's for the highs... 40's/50's for the low. what an eye opener. with the kids in school....everyone is saying that it is fall already... NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
