tuesday night

hey there, just a hello to get us to hump day. work was work as usual. i hate to wish my life away waiting for 5pm or the weekend. and luckily, my office staff make my 9 hrs away from home enjoyable, but i'm still not at home!

the dogs are just crazy! yesterday, I guess that h & cozmo had a "comin' to cozmo" talk! c got put in his kennel and when he started getting saucy with H, his kennel got a whack!! he hasn't been saucy in his kennel since, let me tell you! Super Dog and Mighty Dog have been tearing thru the house...of course, always before h is on an important call! the evenings have been so nice....low 80's, high 70's so dinner on the deck has been awesome! after they eat....craziness abounds!

dinner tonight has been provided by fellow AAA employees!!!! carol from our brookings office brought some swiss chard for me. i've never had it so we are wilting it over some fava beans and "stuff". marlin brought in some sweet corn. i guess that his crop came all at once. since corn is so labor intensive, (picking it so early in the am) i think that we want to make some pesto or something for him and his family as a thank you. it look so very, very good! I'll let you know! I may even come back and put a picture on the blog of it!!! yum! I can't wait!!!

as you can see.....all eleven ears have been cleared of all kernels....YUM!!

The swiss chard, well, lets just say that we haven't found the way of preparation that really emphasises its strong points!!! It really wasn't too bad. The funny part was that there were 3 cloves of garlic, 1/2 onion, mushrooms, white wine, lemon juice, 1 anaheim pepper, and the fava beans and we put some wonderful feta cheese on it and the chard was the most prominent flavor.

So we just need to find the means to bring out its best flavor. We may have to try this again.....but it may be awhile....
