bocci ball

it was a fun weekend. Went to a fun wedding reception, had H's parents visit us at the lake and then went up to St.Paul to visit Cookie in the hospital. She is doing better and better every day, which I am very happy to report!

the drive home yesterday went well. We just did the freeway and high tailed it to Sioux Falls. We had both vehicles, so C & Chip drove with the dogs and me & H was flying solo. We had pasta with some pesto and scampied shrimp for dinner. We watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics on the deck and whent the bugs started biting, we moved inside to finish up. Dog induced Bocci Ball was started between C&H. The winning score is 35, so they are outside finishing up right now. Good thing that the chicken is slow cooking on the rotissarie! Khaki just loves this game. I hold my breath as I wonder when we will have to go to the Vet Emergency clinic for new dentures for the dog! YIKES!

I got off of work early & C & I went to lunch and then to Ace is the Place to get my canning jars & then to the grocery store..... then home for some tv time while I put everything away and started on some fridge pickles & some tomato & cucumber salad. C wants some fresh carrots from the garden instead of the salad, so I've peeled some up for her. I even got the garden weeded and Cozmo is following me like glue wondering when we are going to get our walk in and just what is so fun about this bocce game....
