our park is back!

What a week and weekend so far!

H got home....that's the best!

We stopped this morning to get some grass fed beef and then stopped at the community garden to pull out the tomatoes and peppers and Harlan harvested what he is calling the BEST ever radishes.  Then to Fry's to get my camera and Home Depot to get a wireless fence for the dogs.  We really want it for at the lake but will enjoy it here...then the grocery store and then back here to do yard work.

I think I may have mentioned that my camera broke and was on the hunt for a new one.

DAYS and DAYS of research was spent on discovering what I wanted.

Then, yesterday, I went to get THE ONE and the screen was different than I thought. That threw me for a loop and I had to come home and reconsider and make sure I was willing to deal with the difference.

Well, I settled on my original decision.

It will take some getting used to as it is a sophisticated computer!

Once we got home, we worked out front: we cut the asparagus and pulled up the okra and basil.

Whew! What a day!

We are also watching Miss Ellie this week.

She lives next door and is old and has liver disease.  We thought that she wouldn't make it through the summer but she is doing very well, so we are happy to have her.

I brought her outside while we were working in the front yard and the boys did ok with her, so we invited her into check out our house and back yard!

This should make the week a bit easier and funner!

 

 

 

 We have decided that buying ground beef is a waste of money. (we rarely use it)  Buy a cheaper cut of roast and food process it into the most wonderful burgers!  AND, we have the option to cut the roast into stew meat or even, as much as I'm not a fan, we could eat it as a ROAST.

I'm into options...

....if you haven't figured that out by now.

These photos are with the new camera.  Not too bad.  Some were real duds, but that is mostly user error.   I think I am going to use the same setting for a day or so before moving on the the next one.  Switching back and forth is too confusing!
