The frost is out! Every where you go, there is a lot of melting and n
ot a lot of pools of water. There are some, but it is running off and soaking in fast. That is good as we can probably plant some garden stuff sooner. Of course, we are predicted to get about 5-10" of snow tomorrow, but we'll see how that shapes up. I didn't get my car cleaned, so there is still hope that it will pass us by!
We went to the dog park this afternoon and what a mess! They made the park permanent in the fall, so there is a lot of open dirt areas. They seeded and put hay out....what a mess that created! And we have a lot of clay around here...hmmm...clay + straw.....soon to be bricks! In the mean time, every dog there was a disaster! And we found some adorable pit bulls there who were very friendly, but liked to jump! I didn't expect to have to wash my coat! But everyone got along fine and I
kind of bring on that kind of reception because they can always smell treats that are in my pocket...... Khaki wasn't allowed in the house before getting an outdoor shower. Harlan brought out the warm water from the solarium faucet & we both had to scrub....the hay didn't want to come out of Khaki's fur! We decided that it will have to be a lot drier before we head back to the dog park! Oh, and Khaki has to be minus a lot of fur!
Well, we are home...laundry is under way.....mud soon to be removed from jeans and coats & a brisket is going to be slow cooked on the grill....yum! wish you were here....
